What is Mopria?
Mopria™ certified mobile devices automatically detect Mopria certified printers through their Wi-Fi connection allowing users to print emails and documents from mobile devices by simply tapping Print from the menu and selecting the detected printer indicated on the screen.
The Mopria Print Service plug-in can be downloaded from the Google Play Store to enable print functionality on any Android phone or tablet (Android version 4.4 or later). Once installed, simply connect your device to the same network as the printer and print to any Mopria-certified printer without additional apps or set-up.

What do I need to use Mopria?
1. A smartphone or tablet with the Android Operating System, version 4.4 or later
Your Android smartphone or tablet may be able to be upgraded to Android KitKat (4.4). Check your phone settings to update your device.
2. A printer that is Mopria-certified

3. A wireless network
The mobile device and printer must be connected to the same network. The printer must be either wirelessly connected to the network router or with an Ethernet cable.
4. Apps that support Android KitKat printing
Many native Android apps such as Chrome, Gmail, Gallery, Drive and Quickoffice already include a Print menu option. Once the Mopria plug-in is installed, your printer will be listed in the Print options. If the Print button does not display in an app, the app does not support Android KitKat (4.4) or Mopria Print Service at this time.
Note: Mopria Print Service is not supported through public wireless networks such as public Wi-Fi hotspots, Bluetooth connections, or on cellular 3G or 4G data connections.
You may need to update the firmware of the printer in order to print from Mopria certified mobiles.
