About Canon South Africa.
Canon South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon Europe, came into being on January 4, 2000. Canon Europe is the regional sales and marketing operation for Canon Inc., represented in 120 countries and employing over 11,000 people across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The rest of the Sub Saharan African region also became the responsibility of Canon SA and South Africa was set up as a hub for business in the region. The Sub Saharan African team became responsible for marketing both Canon’s consumer imaging and
business solutions products to a number of African countries including: Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Ethiopia, Eritrea, DRC, Mauritius and Seychelles.
Canon’s consumer imaging product line-up includes: Bubble Jet printers, scanners, faxes, personal copiers, multifunctional devices, calculators, printer and fax consumables, multi media projectors, as well as a full range of photo and video products.
The company’s consumer imaging products have enjoyed tremendous growth in the last two years, which can be directly attributed to a more focused approach to marketing and selling these products.
Within the borders of South Africa, Canon’s range of consumer imaging products are distributed through three main channels. A full range of Canon’s products are made available through selected national distributors, who in turn deal directly with their
dealers. Our products reach our retail customers through a number of retailers including: Game, Dion, Stax, Incredible Connection, Makro, CNA, Stax and Trade Centre. A wide network of photo and video dealers retail Canon’s range of photo and video
