New i-SENSYS colour range offers peerless flexible working for agile workgroups

LONDON, 01 September 2015 - Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, today launched two news series of colour A4 multifunction printers (MFPs) to address the print and document challenges of small workgroups as part of a larger organisation. In addition to the core functionalities of print, copy and scan, the new i-SENSYS MF700 and i-SENSYS MF600 devices bring additional mobile print features, in a compact, intuitive design.

Anil Jagpal, European Marketing Manager for i-SENSYS at Canon Europe, comments: “Canon is committed to removing all perceived barriers to mobile printing, including difficult set-up and limited functionality. Our new i-SENSYS MFPs work out of the box and provide everything an organisation needs to be able to work fast and flexibly, with easy integration capabilities, end-to-end management and a user-friendly interface to ensure a hassle-free printing experience.”

i-SENSYS MF600 Series
The new i-SENSYS MF600 models are ideal for small workgroup environments, with speeds of up to 14 ppm. To optimise workplace productivity, the MF600 series comes with remote management connectivity, eliminating the need for IT teams to manage individual devices manually. The new colour touchscreen, which is fully customisable to suit specific workgroup requirements, is both easy and intuitive to use. Both devices provide mobile printing functionality, and the MF628Cw has built-in Wi-Fi for further versatility.
Powerful and improved scan-to-send functionality further simplifies workflows, with scanning to USB, shared folders, FTP or email inbox without a PC. Pull scanning functionality includes scanning directly to cloud applications or mobile devices, using the free PC and mobile applications.

Anil Jagpal continues: “According to the most recent InfoTrends¹ report, the two largest barriers to people printing from their mobile devices are having incompatible printers and experiencing technical issues when trying to print. The new i-SENSYS models are designed with compatibility and user-friendliness in mind, to make mobile printing easy to perform and encourage optimum productivity both inside and outside the office.”

i-SENSYS MF700 series
With speeds of up to 20 ppm and double-sided printing and scanning, the i-SENSYS MF700 series is perfect for small to medium workgroups looking for a more flexible approach to their daily scan and print jobs.

The i-SENSYS MF700 series offers comprehensive connectivity options for mobile workers. The addition of Canon’s new NFC Touch & Print² enables workers to use their compatible³ smartphone or tablet to connect and print with speed and accuracy. Scan to searchable, Encrypted⁴ and Digital Signature⁴ PDFs are now also supported. Support for industry standard PCL5c/6 and Adobe PostScript printer languages ensure smooth integration into managed IT networks. MF729Cx also works with uniFLOW, making it suitable to play a role in Canon’s large-scale output management platforms.

Both series allow scanned data to be uploaded to Cloud applications including Dropbox™ and Google Drive™ and both series include support for Apple AirPrint™ and compatibility with Google Cloud Print.

These features enable businesses of all sizes to work more efficiently and manage, print and scan documents via a range of mobile devices while on the move.
Both groups of MFPs support the new combined Canon PRINT Business app, which replaces the Canon Mobile Printing and Canon Mobile Scanning applications. The Canon PRINT Business app includes NFC support and iCloud support to ensure users have a range of easy options to print from any device, anywhere. The application also enables printing from web pages or saved photos directly, cloud storage access and comes with automatic image correction abilities.

Both the MF700 and MF600 series of printers will be available across Europe from October 2015
