Canon joins the programme as an Official Partner of UEFA EURO 2004 with a range of products such as digital still cameras, printers, copiers and faxes.
The agreement continues Canon’s long-standing relationship with football which to date has included its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League (1995-2000), FIFA World Cup (1978-1998) and UEFA European Football Championship (1980-1996)

has supported UEFA sporting events in all but one year since 1984 and this expertise will be invaluable to UEFA and Euro 2004.

Also present at the announcement, Dr Gilberto Madail, President of the Portuguese Football Association and Chairman of the board of Euro 2004, S.A., welcomed the deal and said: "Our goal is to make UEFA EURO 2004TM the most successful event possible, so

To support the smooth running of the event, Canon will be supplying printers, fax machines and photocopiers. In addition Canon will also be assisting news photographers attending this premier event, by providing camera and lens maintenance service depots
at the Media Centres in 8 different cities in Portugal where matches will be played.
Canon joins Carlsberg, McDonalds, Coca-Cola and JVC as Official Partners in the UEFA EURO 2004TM programme, with a remaining 3 deals to be announced.
