Earth from Above exhibition

The brainchild of French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Earth from Above is an exhibition of photographs from all around the globe taken from the air.

Canon Europe is a title sponsor, the exhibition in Vienna and Lisbon, which comprises of images that are blown up to billboard size and mounted on floodlit stands, through which the public are able to walk 24 hours a day, free of charge.

Earth from Above is a stunning portrait of our planet. Each of the 120 photographs in the exhibition is accompanied by a caption written by an expert on sustainable development. Together, they invite viewers to reflect on the changes taking place on our planet and the future of its inhabitants. The photographs reveal not only the beauty of the Earth, but also the impact humans have made on our fragile planet.

Since it was first exhibited in Paris in 2000, Earth from Above has run in more than 30 countries and has been visited by over 50 million people. The photographs in Earth from Above were all taken using Canon cameras, and Canon is delighted to be a sponsor of this stunning exhibition.
