About Canon South Africa

Canon South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon Europe, came into being on January 4, 2000. Canon Europe is the regional sales and marketing operation for Canon Inc., represented in 120 countries and employing over 11,000 people across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Canon South Africa today employs 65 people and is based in Centurion, Pretoria and is responsible for the distribution of Canon consumer and business solutions throughout South Africa and the Sub Saharan African region including countries such as Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria, Angola, DRC, Mauritius and Seychelles.
The Canon brand is today synonymous with quality and consistency, driven by the company’s passion, imagination, knowledge and loyalty to its customers.

Canon’s consumer imaging product line-up includes inkjet printers, scanners, faxes, personal copiers, multifunctional devices, calculators, consumables, multimedia projectors, as well as a full range of photo and video products. The company’s consumer imaging products have enjoyed tremendous growth over the years, which can be directly attributed to innovative and focused marketing and public relations campaigns implemented over the years.
 In South Africa the range of consumer imaging products are distributed to all major retailers and selected national distributors. A wide network of photo and video dealers also retail Canon’s range of photo and video products

The range of business solutions includes office multifunctional products professional printing equipment, professional scanners, large format printers and all of the associated software for these devices. These products are distributed through a network of specialist partners with national coverage.

In each Sub Saharan African country Canon distributes its consumer imaging and business solutions via a network of business partners who in turn work directly with local dealers.
Canon technologies are durable, innovative, intuitive, and feature smart and environmentally sustainable designs.  Canon invests heavily in R & D and will continue to deliver new and technologically advanced products that cater for a variety of requirements.
In South Africa Canon continues to support environmental sustainability by operating responsibly, minimizing the impact of its business on the environment and also encouraging a culture of environmental awareness and accountability amongst their staff, business associates and partners.  Canon has also maintained its ISO 14001 environmental accreditation since 2007.
